Acid House

Acid House is a genre of electronic music that emerged in the mid-to-late 1980s, defined by the use of the Roland TB-303 bass synthesizer to create squelchy, resonant, and modulating basslines. It is typically built on repetitive 4/4 drum machine rhythms, minimal arrangements, and hypnotic groove structures, usually around 120–130 BPM. The genre is known for its raw, stripped-back production style and its focus on evolving bass patterns and rhythmic repetition rather than complex song structures.
