Terms of Service & Community Guidelines

Welcome to vrc.dj and vrc.to (the "Platform"). By accessing or using our services, creating an account, or authenticating via Discord, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and Community Guidelines.

These Terms apply to all users, artists, community owners, and visitors. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Platform.

1. Description of Service

vrc.dj and vrc.to provide link-in-bio profiles, liveset archiving, booking functionalities, and community discovery tools primarily aimed at the VRChat DJ, music, and clubbing ecosystem.

2. Age Requirement

You must be at least 16 years old to use this Platform. By registering an account or participating in our ecosystem, you warrant that you meet this age requirement, complying with GDPR minimum age consents.

3. Account and Discord Sync Operation

  • Account Creation: Our platform uses Discord OAuth2 for account creation and login. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Discord account.
  • Identity Sync: This Platform shares a linked identity ecosystem with our official Discord Server. Violating these Terms on the website may result in moderation actions taken against your connected Discord account, and vice-versa.
  • Data Accuracy: You must not impersonate others. Accounts impersonating other artists, labels, or established communities will be suspended and the associated URLs revoked.

4. User-Generated Content & Content Ownership

As a user, you may upload avatars, background images, links, biographies, and embed streams (e.g., YouTube, SoundCloud).

  • Ownership: You retain ownership of all intellectual property you upload. By providing content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, and adapt the content globally strictly for operating the Platform.
  • Prohibited Content: You may not upload or link to content that:

- Is illegal, defamatory, highly explicit, NSFL, or promotes violence/hate speech.
- Infringes upon copyrights, intellectual property, or trademarks of others.
- Contains malicious code, malware, or aims to phish/scam other users.

  • Takedown Right: We reserve the right to remove or restrict any content or page profile for any reason at our sole discretion, especially if it violates these Terms or our community standards.

5. Community Guidelines

To maintain a safe and welcoming ecosystem, all users must adhere to the following rules based on our core community principles:

1. Be Respectful: Harassment, toxicity, hate speech, bullying, or targeted discrimination of any kind towards other artists, communities, or users is strictly prohibited.
2. No Spam or Self-Promotion Abuse: Do not abuse the platform to mass-promote irrelevant content. Only link sets or submit tags that genuinely relate to the corresponding artist or community.
3. Appropriate Tagging & Submissions: Misusing the tag taxonomy, purposefully defacing gradient data, or intentionally submitting irrelevant embeds to an artist's page is considered vandalism.

6. Bookings and Interactions

The Platform provides a feature to send Booking Requests directly to artists.

  • Fair Use: The booking tool must only be used for legitimate event inquiries. Spamming, harassing, or sending inappropriate messages via the booking feature is strictly prohibited.
  • No Liability: The Platform acts only as a communication facilitator. We are not responsible for the fulfillment, agreement, or any disputes arising from bookings explicitly or implicitly made through vrc.dj.

7. Service Availability & Limitation of Liability

  • "As Is" Basis: The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee uninterrupted, secure, or error-free operation.
  • Changes to Service: We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time without prior notice.
  • Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by applicable German and EU law, the operators of vrc.dj and vrc.to shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the Platform or loss of data.

8. Privacy & Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. We handle your personal data in strict accordance with the GDPR (DSGVO). For detailed information about how we collect, process, and anonymize your data (including Discord handles and IP addresses), please review our Privacy Policy.

9. Revisions to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Significant changes will be announced on the Platform or via our official Discord. Continued use of the Platform after changes have been published constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
