AELYSIAN

Aelysian is a multi-disciplinary artist based in Kowloon, Hong Kong with Filipino roots. They are mainly known for their work as a DJ and music producer, and previously for their visual artist handle.

EARLY CAREER

Practicing first on house music, Aelysian first started DJing from their bedroom back in June 2024 inspired by numerous individuals of the VR community. A couple of months later, in August 2024 immediately did their first real in-person back-to-back gig thanks to a friend. Things only picked up speed in October 2024 when they began doing performances in VR spaces, and that's when their activity really started to grow.

WORK

Aiming to bring new and underground sounds to the surface, their music sits somewhere between dark experimental electronics and heavier distortion sounds, often mixing in electronic bass, funk, and club music. Common themes in their stuff include elements of horror, and a kind of faded nostalgia whilst instilling confidence for people on the dance floor.
Every now and then, however, they would resort to ambience and calmer genres to slow things down.

CURRENTLY

As of April 2026 they have gone on an indefinite hiatus to focus on other personal projects and gravitate back to life responsibilities, their main artist profile page was temporarily down due to financial instability, with plans to possibly bring everything back hopefully around Q3 2026.
