Dark Psytrance #darkpsy

Dark psytrance (aka darkpsy) is a style of Psytrance that transforms its psychedelia into a darker, more nocturnal version, in keeping with the nightclubs where the genre was played in its heyday. Besides the somber and psychedelic tone, one of its main characteristics is a high BPM (at least 140, rising to 180 or more), usually accompanied by more daring sound design choices and minimal, Industrial and Dark Ambient-influenced atmospheric sections.
