Coming from Florida, this DJ has been at it for a little bit over a year.
He told me that he's always been drawn to music and underground rave culture, but VRChat expanded that passion for him in ways that he didn't expect or think possible. He was blown away by the talent in the community and sheer amount of new music he was exposed to. After attending his first VRChat event known as Bass Cannon, he was instantly hooked and found himself logging in daily just to jump from one event to the next - meeting many new friends along the way. Experiencing this atmosphere over and over made him realize that he didn't just want to listen to it, but he wanted to take a shot at shaping that energy and emotion himself.
Since then, he's played at LETHA, Obsidian Garden, RAVR, EXSTASIS, VRTX, Octagon, Rift, and Yitties. If you catch one of his sets, you can expect to hear anything hard and fast. Right now Techno, Trance, and Acid are at the top of his list, but he loves working with breaks, hardcore, bounce, Tap, and dub.
For today, he told me he wanted to stay true to what felt most natural for him - so he brought a set of some of his favorite harder styles of techno and the like - keeping the tempo fast and in your face, which includes songs like The M. Machine edit of Voodoo People by The Prodigy.
Outside of DJing, he’s an avid Motorcycle and Auto enthusiast, enjoys traveling when the opportunity arises, and says that he definitely spends more time gaming than he needs to.
And when he’s not listening to electronic music, he tends to gravitate towards hip-hop, emo, or indie/rap, with Sewerperson being the artist he’s spent the most hours listening to.
