This mix features several of beatmaniaIIDX's dnb mixes, starting with the OG entries from IIDX's first style, before taking you through a sudden emotional journey through the evolution of dnb in IIDX! Coupled with that is a hidden story that's left to the listener to interpret...
This rendition of the EMOTIONAL REPRESENTATION PROJECT is the first SP entry, which stands for "Side Project". This mix was made within just a few days, which might seem like a lot of time, but was actually a massive challenge for me to do since this was the first time I did legitimate DJing with just an iPad!
Those who were at my debut at LETHA know that the mix was pre-recorded (more like pre-rendered, as it was compiled in my DAW and not done in real time), as I didn't have a way to truly DJ at the time before I discovered a way to do it with just my iPad alone. Considering that this was my first time performing, I made a hell of a lot of mistakes, and I was practically freestyling a lot of the effects to experiment, but I think I'd say I did pretty good for a first non-pre-recorded set!
This mix is dedicated to Zenith and Ellie (ElectronicFreezer/phaseout), a couple VRC friends that I've met along my journey to bring EmoRePro into the VRC scene. I was actually asked to bring a DJ set out for their birthday, hence why this is considered an "SP" entry!
